By |January 11th, 2018|

This loft style condo in Banker’s Hill is my second residential project with this client, a downsize from his first home.  A Corporate Executive who travels and needs a place to call home, we focused on providing a hotel feel bathroom while honing in on his interests & passions throughout the rest of the space.

Chandelier Remodel

By |April 28th, 2017|

Updating your front entry can be an after thought. This remodel was very straight forward, we needed to bring the ceiling down a bit by enlarging the area with lighting. We staggered three of the same size fixtures at different heights and installation locations. We also selected a fixture where the glass […]

Interior furnishings, lighting & accessories coming together, with even more yet to come.  Not all projects happen fast, or even within a years time.  Shore Tower, located in the beautiful La Jolla, is still evolving.

All the furniture was custom designed with the intension of being used and abused, so, we selected a commercial furniture manufacturer to […]

Master Bath Remodel

By |July 27th, 2016|

We love to show our clients how their spaces can be transformed to their vision with the use of digital renderings in this Master Bath Remodel.  I found this one to be particularly helpful.  Lot’s of choices such as, should the shower tile install to the ceiling?  Should we add crown molding?  Is color needed […]

Holiday Mindfulness

By |December 7th, 2015|

In all the hustle and bustle of the season, along with the normal every day life of work and family, I find myself reflecting on what really matters, at least to me, and having what I call “holiday mindfulness”.  It’s been a great year for Payte Miller Interiors, lots of forward moving growth, exciting projects, great […]

By |October 22nd, 2015|

In the spirit of Halloween? Not yet? You better get on it! My family is on Halloween overload! We have already carved our pumpkins and costumes are in the making. Nothing compares to Halloween as a child then maybe Christmas, at least in our home. This fun Halloween front entry decor idea caught my eye […]

Custom Designed Chandelier Mock-up

By |April 21st, 2015|

Sometimes it’s helpful to physically “mock-up” your design for full understanding of what your trying to say.  The goal here is mutually rewarding; the client gets to say “ahhhh yes” and the designer gets to say “easy as lemon pie”.  With a quick trip to the arts and crafts store and some cheap cardboard, we whipped […]

Residential install

By |November 12th, 2014|

Ever wonder how Designers pull off accessorizing a home after the remodel is completed and its time to layer the “fluff”?  It’s not always To The Trade only companies we order from, but good ol’ local retail stores where the masses shop as well.  This is what my day looks like today!

A mantle or not?

By |November 6th, 2014|

The stone has been installed so we can determine if we like the fireplace without a mantle, a 5″h wood block stained a bit darker than the beams.  Cabinets are stained as well.  Can’t decide…will keep you posted!

Reupholstery Gone Right

By |June 18th, 2014|

A client aquired dining chairs from their homes previous owner whose color palette was rust, tans and reds which doesn’t suite the new owners ocean loving interior decor.  I suggested we reupholster the chairs since they have a great contemporary feel and are well made.  The seat fabric is: Pindler Pelham color Graphite which runs $73.75 […]

By |March 26th, 2014|

NOOK BEFORE-what to do? SEAT & TABLE installed yesterday.  The bench was custom made by El Portal who also fabricated the chrome feet.  The bench wraps the corner and is flush with the kitchen cabinet on the left.  The upholstered seats on the bench are fixed, allowing the wood veneer exposure  at the ends and in […]
