I was inspired to write this article after working with the Welk Resort’s Escondido property.  The resort had a small market where they sold various amenities from fountain beverages, alcohol, lunch meats, dairy products and toiletries as a small example.   One item missing from their offerings was an espresso / speciality drinks which have become a necessity for the savvy and working parent traveller, even when on family vacations.  We worked at creating a “We Proudly Serve Starbucks” cafe experience along with all the already provided amenities.   With some creative space planning and branding sessions, we came up with a home run layout that offers the guest a lot of choices, along with their favorite Starbucks beverage.
